At the event site, reporters from many countries set up various photographic equipment early, preparing to record historical moments that are of great significance to Peru and even the entire Latin America and the Caribbean region.

Through a large-screen connection, the two heads of state jointly issued an order to open the port. The port of Chankai, 80 kilometers north of Lima, opened port operations in the dark.
