The Paper reporter learned from the Law School of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies that on the morning of April 1, the appointment ceremony of Yunshan Scholars of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies was held in the welcome hall of Baiyunshan Campus, and Mr. Kunihiko Yoshida, an internationally renowned scholar and senior professor of Hokkaido University, was hired as a "Yunshan Senior Professor" of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and joined Guangwai Law School full-time. The appointment ceremony was presided over by Yang Minsheng, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Law School of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
Chen Yunliang, Dean of the Law School of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, warmly congratulated Professor Kunihiko Yoshida on his appointment. According to public information, Kunihiko Yoshida, a well-known scholar in the field of Japanese civil law, was selected into the list of "Prominent Scholars of the World" (Prominent Scholars of the World) selected by Seoul National University in South Korea in 2011, a doctor of law from the University of Tokyo, a former professor and doctoral supervisor of the Graduate School of Law of Hokkaido University, and a director of many societies such as the Japan-China Friendship Association and the Japan Society of Private Law.
Kunihiko Yoshida's main research areas are environmental and resource law, international health law, civil law, and new field law.

According to the Law School of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Kunihiko Yoshida has advanced international vision and strategic thinking, can keenly grasp the national strategic needs and international frontier development trends in this discipline, and is familiar with the development trends of similar disciplines. The predecessor of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies was Guangzhou University of Foreign Studies (known as "Guangdong University of Foreign Chinese Chinese" from October 1970 to November 1977) established in November 1964 and officially enrolled students in July 1965 (formerly known as "Guangdong University of Foreign Studies") and Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Trade established in December 1980. Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Trade and Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Chinese Language were transferred from the Ministry of Foreign Economic Cooperation and Trade and the State Education Commission to Guangdong Province in September 1994 and January 1995 respectively. In May 1995, the Guangdong Provincial People's Government merged the two universities to form Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
