Xinhua Agency, Vientiane, October 10 (Reporter Zhao Xu He Fei) On October 10, local time, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council attended the 27th China-ASEAN (10+1) Leaders 'Meeting in Vientiane, Laos. Lao Prime Minister Sonsai, Brunei Sultan Hassanal, Cambodia Prime Minister Hun Manet, Indonesian Vice President Marouf, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar, Philippine President Marcos, Singapore Prime Minister Hwang Hun Choi, Thai Prime Minister Petontan, Vietnam Prime Minister Pham Minh Zheng, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar Aung Kyaw Mo, and ASEAN Observer Prime Minister of Timor-Leste Sanana attended the meeting. ASEAN Secretary-General Gao Jinhong attended the meeting.

Li Qiang pointed out that in the past year, new steps have been taken in building a China-ASEAN community with a shared future, which has truly benefited the people of both sides. The current world economic recovery is weak, the problem of insufficient global aggregate demand has become more prominent, and the market has become the scarcest resource for economic development. As two major markets with a population of more than 1.4 billion and more than 600 million, China and ASEAN are our most prominent advantages. Our market is being comprehensively upgraded, continuously expanded, and expanded to open up. Strengthening market docking is an important direction for further cooperation. The negotiations on upgrading version 3.0 of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area have been substantively concluded. This provides an institutional guarantee for both sides to jointly build a ultra-large market and is a major measure for us to jointly lead East Asian economic integration. China is willing to work harder and find ways to jointly build and share markets with ASEAN, so as to bring stronger and long-term development momentum to both sides and provide more solid support for the common prosperity of the region and the world.

Li Qiang said that relations between China and ASEAN have transcended bilateral scope and have far-reaching Asian significance and global influence. President Xi Jinping pointed out that China will continue to practice the concept of amity, sincerity, mutual benefit and inclusiveness and work together with regional countries to build an Asian home. China is willing to work with ASEAN to create a better future for Asia. The first is to build a three-dimensional connectivity network, actively promote infrastructure cooperation, and accelerate the signing and implementation of Version 3.0 of the Free Trade Agreement. The second is to expand cooperation in emerging industries, tap the potential of cooperation in digital economy, green development and other fields, and promote accelerated industrial transformation. The third is to deepen people-to-people exchanges and promote the implementation of global civilization initiatives in the region. Li Qiang said that China will, as always, firmly support ASEAN integration and community building, and firmly support ASEAN's strategic autonomy. China is willing to work with ASEAN countries to push China-ASEAN Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to a new level.

Leaders of ASEAN countries attending the meeting spoke highly of the strong development momentum of the ASEAN China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, saying that ASEAN and China are each other's largest trading partners, and cooperation in various fields has yielded fruitful results, effectively enhancing the well-being of people in the region. We welcome the substantial conclusion of negotiations on upgrading version 3.0 of the Free Trade Area between ASEAN and China, and are willing to take this opportunity with China to strengthen docking with the Belt and Road Initiative, continue to promote regional economic integration, deepen trade, investment, agriculture, interconnection, Cooperation in areas such as climate change, expand cooperation in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, digital economy, and green economy, continue to run the Year of People-to-People Exchanges, and build a closer ASEAN-China community with a shared future.
