On July 19, the 2024 Shanghai Cross-border E-commerce New Quality Productivity Forum and the 7th China International Import Expo warm-up event were held in Changning, with nearly 300 representatives of cross-border e-commerce industry companies participating.

Under the guidance of Shanghai City Commerce Commission, this event was jointly organized by Shanghai Cross-Border E-Commerce Industry Association, Changning District Commerce Commission and Chengjiaqiao Subdistrict. It aims to fully promote the vigorous development of digital trade and better play the important role of cross-border e-commerce as an important engine of new quality productivity. During the event, everyone watched the warm-up video of the 7th China International Import Expo together. The trading branch of the Shanghai Cross-Border E-Commerce Industry Association of the 7th China International Import Expo conducted an investment promotion focusing on the registration channels and matters needing attention for professional visitors, investment promotion policies, and participation services.

Eleven companies including China Eastern Express were awarded the title of "Leading Cross-Border E-commerce Enterprises of the Year in 2023", and seven company representatives including Wang Jianmin, executive director of China Eastern Express, were awarded the title of "2023 Cross-Border E-commerce People of the Year".

During the event, the Foreign Trade Development Office of the Shanghai City Commerce Commission conducted an in-depth analysis of the latest policies for cross-border e-commerce in Shanghai. New financial support policies and facilitation measures in logistics links such as sea transportation and air transportation will be implemented and optimized soon, which will create a more convenient and efficient business environment for cross-border e-commerce companies.

At the Shanghai Cross-border E-commerce Import and Export Compliance Sub-Forum, six guests from China Eastern Airlines Express and Amazon China discussed cross-border e-commerce intellectual property protection, cross-border e-commerce product compliance, cross-border e-commerce logistics and customs declaration, etc. topics discussed.

Shanghai Cross-Border E-Commerce Public Service Co., Ltd. talked about cross-border e-commerce and gave a detailed introduction in terms of import and export market size and categories.
