\Trump has been in office as the President of the United States for half a year, and is everyone tired of his speeches? Frankly, I am.\ On July 3rd, at the 13th World Peace Forum, the keynote speech by Japan's former Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama began with a humorous opening.

\ discussing today's international situation, Trump is always an inescapable topic,\ Yukio Hatoyama said, \I'm sorry to say today, I also cannot avoid discussing Trump's America.\ He indicated that the current political reality in the United States shows that America has changed, which means \the world also needs to change.\

\In the 'Trump 1.0' era, the most significant change in the United States was the confrontation between China and the US,\ Yukio Hatoyama said, \In the 'Trump 2.0' era, this change is no longer limited to Sino-American relations, but will affect the foundation of the world order, and even the United States' allies have begun to realize that they must change or significantly adjust their country's strategy.\

Yukio Hatoyama mentioned a viewpoint that the best way to deal with \Trump 2.0\ is to \calmly wait for three and a half years.\ \But the reality is far from that,\ Hatoyama said, \A Trump-style America could still continue after Trump, even if a Democrat is elected as the President of the United States in 2028. In fact, although the Biden administration did not use the same rhetoric as Trump, his policies still contain a large amount of 'America First' and 'MAGA' elements.\

Yukio Hatoyama stated that Trump is waging a tariff war against the global community, and that logic or theory is simply ineffective when dealing with Trump. He mentioned a Japanese proverb: \No one can deal with a crying child.\ Hatoyama pointed out that Trump's tariff policy might benefit some American businesses and workers, but it would harm more American companies and consumers. Therefore, countries should approach Trump's tariff policy with the determination that \in a narrow path, the brave will prevail.\

\ must do our best to avoid giving Trump the impression that 'as long as I provoke conflict, the other side will concede and provide adequate compensation,'\ said Yukio Hatoyama. He also expressed his hope that the Japanese government led by Shintaro Ishihara could continue to firmly advance trade negotiations with the United States.

Yukio Hatoyama stated that in the face of American protectionism, countries should more firmly promote multilateral cooperation. He called for Japan, China, and South Korea to accelerate the construction of a free trade zone among the three countries, expand the scope of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), and promote reforms of important international institutions such as the World Trade Organization (WTO), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the World Bank.

Yukio Hatoyama stated that strategic stability is achieved by at least temporarily setting aside ideological and value (differences), and we must be more vigilant not to \fall into the trap of values\ again. He said that countries have different values, what is needed is respect and understanding, \the practice of achieving 'justice' or 'values' through force is threatening the whole world, we should emphasize different values, respect others' intentions, otherwise, we will fall into a vicious cycle of violence.\
