The drone apron of Hankou North Low Airport is located on the roof of Haining Leather City, Hankou North International Trade City. The reporter learned that there are 10 drone positions on the apron of about 7000 square meters. The carrying capacity of each drone is 30 kilograms and the maximum range per trip is 28 kilometers.
Chen Wenjing, head of Hankou North Low Airport, said that the first phase of Hankou North Low Airport has opened five low-altitude logistics routes to Hanzheng Street, Wuhan Living Room, Wuhan International Convention and Exhibition Center and other places. In the future, more routes will be opened to gradually cover Wuhan's Main City.

Chen Wenjing said that drone delivery saves more than 60% of time compared with traditional road transportation, and the delivery time is basically within 10 minutes. Drone distribution can not only reduce logistics costs and shorten delivery time, but also further reduce merchants 'inventory costs. The commissioning of low-cost airports has had a revolutionary impact on the storage, distribution and operation of commodities in wholesale markets, and this impact will continue to expand.
