Li Qiang said that in August this year, General Secretary Xi Jinping and President Su Lin held a meeting with General Secretary and President Su Lin, which drew a new blueprint and injected new impetus into the development of China-Vietnam relations. China is willing to work with Vietnam to implement the important consensus reached by the top leaders of the two parties and two countries, maintain high-level communication, continue to enhance mutual trust, uphold the original intention of good-neighborliness and friendship, strengthen confidence in the road system, strengthen determination to unity and cooperation, continuously expand comprehensive strategic cooperation, and deepen the construction of a China-Vietnam community with a shared future with strategic significance.
Li Qiang pointed out that China and Vietnam are both developing countries and are both in a critical period of modernization. China firmly supports Vietnam in pursuing a stable socialist path that suits its national conditions. China is willing to strengthen the docking of development strategies with Vietnam and give full play to the role of the China-Vietnam Bilateral Cooperation Steering Committee mechanism, implement the docking cooperation plan for the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" initiative and the "Two Corridor and One Circle" framework, and deepen cooperation in areas such as interconnection, trade and investment, tourism, medical care, disaster prevention and reduction. The two sides should take the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Vietnam next year and the "China-Vietnam Year of People-to-People Exchanges" as an opportunity to further deepen people-to-people exchanges, enhance mutual understanding and feelings between the two peoples, especially the younger generation, and pass on the cause of China-Vietnam friendship from generation to generation. Pham Minh Zheng said that Vietnam and China have a close relationship of comrades and brothers, and the traditional friendship lasts forever. Vietnam abides by the one China principle, supports China's development and growth, and supports the series of global initiatives proposed by President Xi Jinping. After the talks, the two prime ministers jointly attended the exchange ceremony of cooperation texts in the fields of interconnection, agricultural products, customs, finance, human resources, media, education and other fields.
Before the talks, Fan Mingzheng held a welcoming ceremony for Li Qiang. Li Qiang also visited the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and laid a wreath.
During the visit, the two sides will jointly issue the "Joint Statement of the People's Republic of China and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam."
