At the navigation ceremony held at Mexico City International Airport that day, Mexican Ambassador to China Sjade said that the opening of this route will help enhance trade and tourism cooperation between the two countries and shorten the distance between China and Latin American and Caribbean countries.
Zhang Run, Chinese Ambassador to Mexico, delivered a speech saying that Mexico is China's second largest trading partner in Latin America and a popular destination for outbound tourism for Chinese citizens. This route will play an important role in promoting cooperation between the two sides in the fields of economy, trade, culture and tourism, and greatly facilitate personnel exchanges between China and Latin America.
According to reports, this round-trip route is operated by China Hainan Airlines. The outbound flight is Monday and Friday every week, and the return flight is Tuesday and Saturday every week. It makes a short stop in the northern Mexican city of Tijuana.
